Rich snippets are generally only displayed for certain types of information, which can be further restricted depending on the device. For example, "how-to" snippets are much more common on mobile devices.

You may have come across the term "rich results," often used interchangeably with "rich snippets." However, they are not the same thing. SERPs are quite complex these days. If you're unsure what I'm referring to, take a look at the survey results where I asked people what they thought it was called.
If you're unsure about the terminology Google uses regarding rich snippets, you're not alone. We have a simple explanation for you:

A good search engine ranking is fantastic, but what actually entices people to click on your website is the quality of the snippet. Rich snippets make your website stand out more in the search results.
The first snippet is the most engaging because it fully utilizes the schema markup. This builds trust with the readership and encourages them to click through the reviews and see the price.
Adding these attributes – such as prices, number of reviews, or preparation times for recipes – to your website creates another level of competition in the SERPs.
They also give you more space for relevant information that will lead to clicks. For example, people are more likely to click on a product that is cheaper and ranks second than on the product ranked first.
It is important to remember that while rich snippets can be aesthetically pleasing and attract attention, they are not a ranking factor.
Rich snippets are made from structured data created, which are only available for certain types of content. This data is organized in a way that makes it easily readable and understandable for Google, so it can be used for SERPs and other functions. Instead of Google taking the time to extract the most important information, as would normally be the case:

As you can see from the second example, it is easier for machines like Google to read your content if they are formatted with schema.org vocabularies are structured. By marking up your content in this way, you may also provide Google with additional information that can be used to improve your search results.

If you want to take up more space on the SERPs, implementing the following is recommended. FAQ Rich Snippets A fairly modern SEO tactic that can serve the purpose. Although it's technically listed under product type, this method can be used for any website that has an FAQ section.

Using schema markup is easy, no matter how your website is structured. To get started, use one of the many schema markup generators available online. You can also use the Google Tag Manager Use this to publish this code.
However, only add schemas for content that is visible to users, and make sure they comply with the Google guidelines It must comply with your chosen schema type. For example, do not use FAQ markup for advertising purposes; it must be written by the website itself.
If you use WordPress, there are a multitude of plugins available to cover all your needs. Structured data is supported by multi-purpose SEO plugins like Yoast or Rank Math, and there are even plugins specifically designed for implementing schema markup.
Adding a FAQ section with Yoast is quick and easy (Rank Math works the same way). To get started, simply select the "FAQ" block when creating your page.

This allows you to determine if your code or page is valid for Rich Results. "Valid" means that there is a possibility that the rich snippet will appear in the SERP, but it is not guaranteed.
You can enter a URL even if the markup is already in production; this is particularly useful for quick spot checks. However, it's not quite as helpful for monitoring individual pages.
If you want to track the performance and errors of your parent pages, Google Search Console is the perfect tool for you. With just a few clicks, you can filter performance reports by search result type. This gives you the information you need to make informed decisions about which content will improve your website's results.
Unlike a SERP snippet generator, with the Google test for Rich Search Results Check, improve, and modify the visibility of your structured data before publishing it.
When evaluating the components of structured data or accessibility, you can choose whether to analyze the entire URL (HTML document) or only the code snippet of a specific data type.
Furthermore, you can choose whether your search queries should be performed via mobile phone or desktop – Google recommends using the smartphone user agent both as a test benchmark and as an optimization tool.
You will receive the test result for your data type either as an instruction or as a rich snippet preview, but in some cases, you should take additional steps to follow Google's recommendations. These steps include ensuring the page is accessible and does not contain any unloadable resources, as well as correcting any syntax errors found by the Google URL Checker tool.

If you want Google to be able to access your website with rich snippets and structured data, it must first be easily indexable. Use this URL Check Tool for this test step, as it is a crucial component to ensure effective communication between your website and Google, especially if changes or additions have been made to the source code – such as a whole set of structured data.
A key part of this process is requesting (re)indexing. This informs Google of your wish to have your website, with its new structured data, included in its index to improve your search engine ranking. Please note that these requests are not guaranteed!
Please bear in mind that positive decisions from Google can sometimes take weeks. Every accepted indexing request is processed on a first-come, first-served basis. It is therefore strongly recommended that you include and test structured data with an expiration date (e.g., for events) well in advance of the deadline!
Rich snippets are a powerful tool for generating more clicks and engagement. However, they are just one aspect of the structured data that makes up the larger Knowledge Graph. Code snippets are small pieces of code displayed in a text document or web page to demonstrate or describe specific functionalities.
