Prior to the collaboration, KMZ & Partner AG faced several SEO challenges that significantly limited the website's online visibility. Page load times were noticeably slow, negatively impacting user experience and search engine ranking. Despite clearly defined strategic keywords, the domain showed little visibility in organic search results, particularly for relevant search terms related to repair and household appliance services.

In addition, there were numerous on-page deficiencies, including incorrect indexing, faulty redirects, and a high number of 404 error pages. These technical shortcomings made it difficult for search engines to efficiently crawl and correctly evaluate the website. A comprehensive SEO strategy was required to optimize the technical foundation, sustainably increase visibility, and significantly improve search engine ranking for key keywords.

SEO Roadmap - Strategy & Implementation

To sustainably improve the SEO performance of KMZ & Partner AG, a multi-stage concept was developed that included both technical optimizations and content-related and structural measures.

    1. Technical basic optimization

The first step focused on addressing technical weaknesses. This included improving page speed through targeted measures such as caching optimization, image compression, and the reduction of unnecessary scripts. Simultaneously, crawling and indexing problems were resolved through a systematic revision of the robots.txt file, sitemap structure, and redirects. Faulty 404 pages were identified, replaced with redirects, or cleanly removed from the index.

    1. On-page optimization & keyword focus

Based on a thorough keyword analysis, all relevant pages were revised with regard to their meta tags, heading structure, and internal linking. The focus was on locally relevant search terms such as "appliance repair Zurich" or "kitchen appliance service Glattbrugg." Furthermore, a clear site architecture was developed that considered both user navigation and search engine optimization.

    1. Content optimization & visibility building

To strengthen thematic relevance, new, search engine optimized content was created – including service pages, FAQs, and local landing pages. Existing content was revised for quality and enriched with structured data (Schema.org) to increase visibility in the SERPs.

All measures were accompanied by continuous monitoring. The development of rankings, crawling activity, and loading times were regularly reviewed, and the strategy was continuously adapted based on the data. This allowed short-term successes to be consolidated and long-term visibility goals to be achieved step by step.

    • Monthly analysis of SEO performance (rankings, visibility, traffic).
    • Creation of detailed reports with recommendations for action.

Results & Impact

The comprehensive SEO measures led to a significant increase in online visibility and a measurable improvement in website performance for KMZ & Partner AG within twelve months.

The visibility index was increased from 0.0357 to 0.1014, a gain of +184%The number of ranking keywords increased from 42 to 349 which represents an impressive increase of +730.9% This corresponds to the previous trend. Particularly striking: The keywords in the top 10 positions rose from 9 to 79 (+777.7%), and also in the top 3 were with 15 placements a plus of 114% reached.

Organic Performance & Rankings
In the period from August 1, 2023 to August 1, 2024, a total of 1,882 new keyword positions won. 32 keywords improved significantly, including 20 in the top 20, 24 in the top 30 and 34 in the top 100Of particular note is the presence in highly relevant rankings: 2 keywords placed in the top 3, 9 in the top 10 and 20 in the top 20.
